Guided Tours in English at Kulturen in Lund
An introduction to the open-air museum
If this is your first visit to Kulturen or you simply want to know more about the museum and its buildings then this is the tour for you.
After a short overview of the museum’s history and its rather eccentric founder, Georg Karlin, you’ll be taken on a walking tour of the open-air museum. You will get to hear some of the many exciting stories waiting to be told about the houses: Where was the Deanery before it was moved to Kulturen, and what is a Dean? Where did the “father of gymnastics” Per Henrik Ling live and is it true that he let his students practice their swimming in the pond? Did you know that the “Peace of Lund” treaty was signed in one of our buildings? Our houses reflect the many layers of society as it once was, and have been lived in by people from all

Stolta Stad!

Stolta Stad!
